Balboa Park Art Summer Camp 2017 | Week 1

This was so much fun!!!

Our campers walked through the Balboa Park with their cameras and took pictures at Japanese Friendship Garden, San Diego Museum of Man and even competed at the “Find the Red Color” photography contest. All winners got a price! They did photograph themselves at the classroom and learned about Portrait setting and lighting. Each of them brought one beautiful printed picture home.

Music teacher tough them variety of dances from different countries and states. They also wore some beautiful, handmade costumes coming from Europe. Even boys participated in traditional folk dances!

Ceramics was very creative with some extraordinary pinch pot Monsters and so much needed plates for food. Our oldest student showed an amazing skill in creating Greek inspired sculpture and made a beautiful torso.

We will continue our art experience next week and are looking for your comments and suggestions. Thank you for participating!
